Map It Right / M33 Access – A communication company providing Fiber access for rural michigan, MapItRight is built from the ground up by fiber internet service providers. What started as an internal mapping solution, has grown, and is growing. Mapping software has always been too expensive for start up or small ISP’s We think everyone should be able to map their network at an affordable cost.

Interactive Aerial (Traverse City, MI) – Streamlining the way manual inspections are presently accomplished within the Oil & Gas, Utility, Pulp & Paper, and Maritime industries.

Interactive Aerial is a R&D, engineering, and manufacturing company for unmanned aerial systems based in Traverse City, Michigan. We are currently focused on a drone for internal infrastructure inspections – specifically large confined space, GPS-denied environments. In late 2015, we partnered with a notable robotic inspection company to produce the perfect internal flying drone. With high craftsmanship standards, we built the vehicle from scratch using American suppliers and materials. The Legacy One has already saved companies millions of dollars because of quicker outages by eliminating traditional inspection methods.

The Patient Company (Grand Rapids, MI) – A spin-off of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, this company has developed SimPULL, a Lateral Patient Transfer Device for healthcare organizations with varying bed counts, staff demands and frequencies of transfers.  Transferring patients is the number two cause of healthcare employee injuries in the United States, the largest contributor to these injuries is lateral patient transfer. Lateral patient transfer is the act of moving a patient from one horizontal plane to another. Current best practices force clinicians to wait on average 22 minutes, for the proper amount of staff; 4-8 people. With these best practices being commonly ignored, staff personnel risk injuring themselves and their patients. In nursing and residential care facilities, there are even more injuries than in the acute care setting, a main contributor to this is the lack of available and physically capable staff.
CoWIS (Waterford, MI) –  CoWIS is a structural panel that will lower manufactures COGS. Unlike traditional cored panels that require lamination of several intermediate products, CoWIS panels have just two raw materials, plastic resin and continuous fiberglass strand, that are compression molded in a single step process that utilizes much less material at a far greater level of performance.
GreenTree Cooperative Grocery – a community owned grocery store in downtown Mount Pleasant that will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.  They are currently engaged in a 1 million dollar capital campaign to build a 10,000 square foot grocery store in a four story, mixed use building in the downtown area.
